Question: What are the biggest elements of being a good football player?

Answer: The bond and the brotherhood that I have built with my boys. We are going to battle every game as a team.

Q: What is the toughest part of being a football player?

A: The beating that we take every single game. It’s tough waking up the next morning after a game. You’re just sore getting up because you have bruises all over your body.

Q: Do you play other sports?

A: Yes, I wrestle as well as compete in track.

Q: What is your favorite sport to play?

A: Definitely football. There really is no other bond like that sport. We bleed for each other every single week.

Q: What is your favorite sport that you do not play?

A: Probably hockey. It looks like so much fun watching the players fly around at each other. I always wanted to try and play on the ice.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete?

A: Kobe Bean Bryant. The way that he approached sports and the way he worked hard in practice is unmatched. He always wanted to be better than his opponents.

Q: What would you tell players coming up as a senior?

A: Never stop working. On the field is one thing. Winning comes from working hard in every practice.

Q: What have your coaches taught over the years with the team?

A: They taught us that bad things don’t happen to us, they happen for us. We need to keep pushing through and continue to get better. Losing can happen, but we don’t give up.

Q: If you could meet anybody in history, who would it be?

A: Deion Sanders. He played corner in football and he was one of the greatest of all time. I would just want to talk to him about how he approached being comfortable on the field. His confidence is unmatched.
