Question: What is the most important thing required for a volleyball player to find success?

Answer: I would say it’s all about effort. Limiting mistakes because every mistake could be a point. Effort on each possession is the biggest thing.

Q: What is your favorite part about playing volleyball?

A: It’s a team sport and my team really help me out to be successful as an individual. The support we have for each other is what makes playing so fun.

Q: What is your least favorite part of playing volleyball?

A: I don’t really have a least favorite part. I love playing volleyball every week.

Q: You play other sports for Magdalena. What would you say is your favorite?

A: It’s a tie between basketball and volleyball for me. Whatever season it is that is what I’m focusing on to make our team the best we can be in front of the fans.

Q: What is your favorite sport that you do not play?

A: That’s a hard one. Every sport I love I’m fortunate enough to play. From rodeo to competition here at school, there isn’t a sport I feel like I’m missing out on right now.

Q: What would you tell younger players coming up wanting to play varsity volleyball for the Steers?

A: This is all about the effort and picking each other up. Getting prepared for the highs and lows. You have to be mentally ready for that. The young girls will benefit from just watching our team compete. That is a big key as they come up.

Q: If there was one person you could meet, living or dead, who would it be?

A: Michael Jordan. No one has the mentality he did. I didn’t personally get to watch Michael Jordan live but I got to watch so many videos online of him. He was all about being the best every night.
