Bertha Evelyn Padilla

1931-2022

Bertha Evelyn Padilla of Socorro, N.M. passed away on September 24, 2022 in her home at the age of 91.

Bertha was born in Belen, N.M. on April 8, 1931, to Edobjune and Helario Peralta.

She loved traveling with her husband enjoying their camping trips. Spending time with her family brought her joy and happiness. Making jewelry was a passion of hers that brought her joy even to the end.

Bertha was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, husband Eulalio “Eddie” Padilla, grandson Donald Cox, son-in-law David Gordon, and brother Alfonso Peralto. Bertha was survived by six children: Dorthy Gordon, Theresa Stelling, Debra Cox, Darlene Padilla, Chairene Naranjo and Eddie Padilla; along with 64 great and great-great children. Siblings: Lori Gallegos, Etta Torres and Gilbert Peralta.
