Darren Charles Monette

Darren Charles Monette, 53, passed away on October 31, 2020, at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

Darren was born in Socorro on June 23, 1967, to Charles Henry Monette and Charlotte Jean Monette (Lackey). On July 16, 1987, Darren married Joan Del Curto, and together they had three wonderful children; Casey, Justin, and Dakotah.

Darren was preceded in death by his parents, his niece, Tammy Fowler and his sister-in-law, Marliss Monette.

He is survived by his three children: Casey Del Curto, Justin Del Curto and Dakotah (Rosa) Del Curto; his five grandchildren, Zyra, Citlali, Zuleyka, Santino and Dakotah Jr.; his five siblings; Danny Monette, David (Patty) Monette, Donald (Pam) Monette, Debbie (Chet) DeMoss, and Denise Monette; as well as several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Darren was cared for in his last days by his niece, Tristen Fowler who was always by his side. Darren was a die hard Miami Dolphins fan and loved to play golf.

A graveside service will take place at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery, Blue Canyon Road, Socorro New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. with Father Andy Pavlak presiding. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Gonzales, Stacey Adams, Johnny Valenzuela, Gene Mounyo, Jordan Gonzales, Bo Braswell, Chris Padilla, and David Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers are Justin Del Curto, Dakotah Del Curto, Danny Monette, David Monette, Donald Monette, Santino Del Curto, Dakotah Del Curto Jr., Chet Demoss, Ernie Sichler, Craig Sichler, Travis Fowler, Cooper Monette, Tucker Perdue, Cadyn Monette, Lorenzo Del Curto, Billy Byler, Trento Fowler, Jayden Fowler, and Trey Fowler.
