The Socorro chapter of Disabled American Veterans is once again hosting its annual Thanksgiving dinner for the community Saturday, Nov. 20. The DAV Thanksgiving dinner has been an annual event for more than two decades (barring pandemics) and serves up to 400 people each year.

“It’s looked forward to especially by people who don’t have a place to go or who don’t have family in the area,” DAV member Peter Romero said. “But we welcome everybody to come and eat with us.”

The Thanksgiving dinner will be served “drive-thru” only from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the DAV building, 200 N. 5th Street in Socorro. Call the DAV at 835-0843 for more information.
