1939-2022

Donald Ray Anderson passed away on August 11, 2022.

Don, a master woodworker and US Navy veteran, was born in Wichita, Kansas to Ellen L. (Brooks) and Raymond Anderson on Nov. 20, 1939.

His family homesteaded to Alaska, and he graduated from Anchorage High School in 1958, when he then enlisted in the US Navy and served on a diesel submarine.

His lifelong love affair with dancing culminated in teaching tango at NM Tech after his retirement. He died at home in Socorro County.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela, and Christy Michelle, four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
