Juan Jose Patterson

Juan Jose Patterson lovingly nicknamed JJ by his family was called home on April 2, 2021.

JJ was born February 17, 1996 to Victoria Marquez and Christopher Patterson both of Socorro. He had no children, and no spouse, He had only his mother Victoria and his father Chris and his brothers and sisters.

JJ had a kind heart, he was very caring, and not many people knew that about him. he took on the responsibility of taking care of his grandpa and his aunt Jasmine when his grandmother died in 2017. When his stepdad Leroy passed away in 2019, he also took care of his mother and little sister, and his 2 younger brothers at that time. He never hesitated, never complained, always with a smile or a joke to make you smile or laugh. His laughter will be surely missed by all those who loved him.

He attended Socorro High school. He completed school in Roswell and became a talented mechanic. He loved a variety of things in his life JJ enjoyed working on cars and fixing them up. He loved his dogs Belle, shorty, and chocko. He loved going fishing with his mom and brothers and sister, during the summer.  He also loved being out with his friends. He loved the outdoors, spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh.

He loved his family. He was a wonderful son, big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. JJ was a caretaker, a friend, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on. But most of all a wonderful son to his mother always to the rescue.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather Leroy Jaramillo SR. his stepbrother Leroy Jaramillo Jr. his maternal grandparents Gloria Betone and Richard Apodaca. His Paternal grandparents Richard and Leonola Patterson.

He is survived by his loving parents Victoria Marquez of Socorro. Father Chris Patterson of Socorro. His loving siblings Cody Marquez, Christopher Patterson, Nicholas Patterson, Esperanza Jaramillo, half brothers and sister, Jayden Jaramillo and Sebastian Jaramillo Mariah Jaramillo. His mother’s sister Aunt Jasmine Betone. Aunt Sarah Keaton. Aunt Eileen and Johnny Castillo. Juan J. Marquez of Nevada. Uncles Frank and Corinna Patterson, Steven and Marguerite Patterson

Aunt Jamie and Nester Chavez. Cousins Alyssa, Juan and Zabrina Marquez, Elaine Ernst of Illinois, Zachariah and David Robinson, Steven, Sarah, Raina, Heaven, Jerimiah, Matthew, Jacob, Ashley, and Tiffany Patterson, Aaliyah and Olivia Chavez. And many more family to name but not enough time.

Noblin funeral home in Belen will be officiating. His ashes were finally brought home to his mother on April 18, 2021. A memorial will be announced at a later date.
