The Socorro Lady Warriors took first at the A–3A State Golf Championships on Monday with 358 total strokes.

The Socorro Warriors and Lady Warriors competed in the A-3A State Golf Championships on Monday where the Lady Warriors placed first out of six teams with 358 strokes and the Warriors took second out of seven teams with 341 strokes.

In girls’s tournament, all five of Socorro’s golfers finished in the top 15.

Harley Richardson took second in the tournament with 75 strokes as Santa Fe Prep’s Karen Tian won the championship with 74 strokes.

Dayzie Whitehorse tied for fourth with Lauren Buffett of Bosque as they finished the day with 89 strokes. In eighth place was Tivonne Anaya who had 96 strokes and Jordan Markland came in 10th with 98 strokes. Ally Martinez placed 14th with 100 strokes.

In the boy’s tournament, JJ Avery took second with 76 strokes.

James Woods tied for ninth with Koi Zunie of Zuni and Riley Morris of Mesilla Valley. They completed the tournament with 85 strokes.

Estevan Villagomez placed 13th with 87 strokes and Luther Richardson took 16th with 93 strokes.

Moises Castillo came in 28th place with 105 strokes
