The following items were taken from reports at the Socorro Police Department

Jan. 13

An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of El Camino Real for suspicious activity. A female told the officer someone was looking at her through her living room window. The officer checked around the area and did not locate anyone.

An officer was dispatched at 9:10 a.m. to a residence in the 900 block of Padilla for a domestic. The officer met with a male, who was questioned about the incident. He said he just wanted his belongings, and there was an altercation. The officer later met with a female, who said he struck her on the side of the head. The officer was also advised of the male breaking the door handle to her vehicle. Charges of criminal damage to property of household member; deprivation of property of household member and domestic violence-battery were filed on the male.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Center Street for damage to a vehicle. The officer spoke with the victim who pointed out where her driver-side tires were flat, and the rims had damage. The officer noticed the vehicle looked to be driven to the residence on flat tires.

An officer was dispatched at 7:13 p.m. to a residence in the 1200 block of Lemitar Lane for vandalism. A female at the residence said her neighbor’s kids caused damage to her trailer home. Upon inspection, the officer did not see any damage. The officer then looked at a security camera video to double-check but did not see anything on it that could have caused damage.

An officer on patrol at 6:55 p.m. stopped a driver for a traffic infraction on California Street. The officer met with the driver, who had a warrant for his arrest. His vehicle was released to a family member, and he was incarcerated at Socorro County Detention Center.

Jan. 15

An officer was called at 10:34 p.m. to the 700 block of Liles Street in reference to a lost jacket. The reporting person stated he was at his sister’s residence and lost his jacket that had his keys in a pocket. The officer went to the residence and spoke with the homeowner who said he did not know the reporting person. The officer attempted to meet with the reporting person again but was unable to. The officer was then contacted by the reporting person who was at a different address now and this time he said his jacket was taken out of his truck.

Jan. 16

An officer was called to Domino’s Pizza in reference to a possible kidnapping with a firearm. The officer arrived and met with the reporting person, who stated he observed what he believed to be a kidnapping. He said he saw a male run across the street with what appeared to be a firearm and run toward a group of people, who shoved another male into a vehicle and had him pinned down at gunpoint. The officer was able to review the security camera video, which showed a group of kids having an Orbeez gun war.

An officer was called at 10:23 a.m. to a break-in at a residence in the 300 block of Faulkner Road. The officer met with the reporting person who takes care of the property due to the owner previously passing away. The reporting person stated he arrived at the residence and noticed the front door wide open and the door to the shed open. He said he believes there were items taken out of the residence and the shed. The reporting person said he would have the new homeowner contact officers.

Jan. 17

An officer was called to the 1000 block of El Camino Real in reference to someone attempting to steal a catalytic converter. The officer arrived in the area and attempted to locate the suspect’s vehicle but was unable to. The victim stated she heard somebody cutting and when she walked outside, she noticed two males; one under her vehicle and one in the suspect’s vehicle. She called 911, and the males fled in the vehicle.

An officer was called at 6:11 a.m. to Holiday Inn Express in reference to a break-in. The officer met with the victim, who stated he checked his vehicle and noticed multiple tools missing. The officer checked the vehicle and noticed the toolbox had been pried open.

An officer was called at 11:56 a.m. to the 300 block of Spring Street in reference to a burglary. The officer met with the victim, who said his shed was broken into and multiple tools were taken. He believes the suspect to be a male who he had working for him and recently fired.

An officer was called at 9:14 a.m. to the 400 block of Second Street for a break-in. The reporting person said when she arrived at the residence, she noticed the south side gate broken. She also noticed the side door access to the house was broken. She said she entered the house and noticed a space heater for the kitchen was missing, and when she got to the living room noticed all the doors to the other rooms were open. She was advised to make a list of the things missing and the value of each.

An officer was called at 4:23 p.m. to Best Western in reference to harassment. The officer met with the victim, who stated he received a call from a male who stated he was going to blow up the hotel.

An officer was dispatched to Ivy Street regarding a break-in. At the scene, the officer met with a female known to have an active warrant for her arrest. She was placed in handcuffs and transported back to the Socorro Police Department to process her booking. The officer conducted a search of the backpack she had in her possession at the time of her arrest. The officer located several folded pieces of foil with burnt fentanyl residue. Inside one of the foils was a blue pill identified as fentanyl. The officer logged the pill into evidence for lab testing. The suspect was medically cleared and incarcerated at the Socorro County Detention Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Jan. 19

An officer was called to the 500 block of Dolores Road in reference to a burglary. The officer met with the victim, who stated that when she checked her vehicle that morning she noticed somebody had broken into it, and she noticed her purse missing from the vehicle.

An officer was informed at 8:54 p.m. of a female being abducted and held in Socorro. The officer was provided a phone number and a GPS ping on the location. The officer located the female. She was OK and staying with a sister.

An officer was called at 8:18 a.m. to Casa de Regalos on the Plaza in reference to shoplifting. The officer met with the victim, who stated a female was in his store yesterday attempting to shoplift a statue. He confronted her, and she ran out of the store, dropping other items she had picked out from the store. The officer attempted to locate the suspect but was unable to at the time of the report.

Jan. 20

An officer was called to the 400 block of Bullock Blvd. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The officer met with the victim whose vehicle was missing. She kept the keys to the vehicle inside the residence and believes somebody had entered and taken the keys. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. The victim called back to report a charge on her debit card at approximately 3:45 a.m.

An officer was called at 1 a.m. to Lopezville and Gibson Circle in reference to a possible stolen vehicle in the area. The officer arrived and located the vehicle and the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest, and the vehicle was released to the victim at the scene.

Jan. 22

An officer was dispatched at 9:45 p.m. for a hit-and-run on Main Street. The officer met with the female driver, who said she swerved to not hit another vehicle and crashed into a dirt mound. The officer did not see signs of intoxication. She was transported to Socorro General Hospital for medical and charged with reckless driving, no driver’s license, and unfastened safety belts.

An officer was called to the 500 block of Center Street in reference to a male threatening to damage property. The officer met with the victims, who stated the male left with a family member, and they believed him to be intoxicated. The victim stated she wanted to press charges.

Jan. 23

An officer was called to the DWI compliance office to pick up a male for an active warrant for his arrest. The male was placed under arrest and transported to SCDC where he was booked on his warrant.

An officer was called at 5:17 p.m. to the 200 block of Fisher in reference to threats being made. The reporting person stated his daughter received a phone call from an individual threatening to kill her. The reporting person stated he has already contacted the school and is now wanting to make a report to the police.

An officer was called at 10 a.m. to a residence in the 500 block of Melody Lane in reference to a male needing to be removed. The reporting person told the officer a male arrived at her property and began throwing rocks. She asked the officer to remove the male and trespass him from the property. The officer met with the male and advised him to not come back to the property.

An officer was summoned at 12:17 p.m. to the 200 block of B Street, where a female caller reported damage to her vehicle. She said she saw a male individual walking away from her yard after hearing what she believes was damage being done to her vehicles. She told the officer she did not see him physically breaking the windows, but he was the only person she had seen after hearing her windows being broken. The officer noticed the windshields on two vehicles were broken and searched for any evidence of what may have broken the windows. The officer patrolled the area looking for the suspect.
