The following items were taken from reports at the Socorro Police Department

Feb. 15

  • A victim on Mineral Way reported that someone stole a blinker light from a vehicle. The victim said it would cost $30 to replace the light.
  • Officers were called at 7:35 p.m. to a home in the 1600 block of El Camino Real for an overdose. A male was not responsive, so an officer began CPR and administered a dose of Narcan and the subject began to wake. EMS treated the male and transported him to Socorro General Hospital.

Feb. 16

  • An officer was called to the 300 block of High School Road for a vehicle burglary. The victim said items were taken out of the bed of his truck that was secured with a camper shell. He stated he was unsure of all the items taken but does notice some items missing.
  • An officer was called to Socorro General Hospital for threats made to an employee. The officer met with an employee who said she was informed of another employee commenting that the first employee did not like the other and was going to fight her. The officer met with the second employee, who stated she did not like the first employee but never threatened to hurt her.
  • A caller in the 300 block of Fisher at 7:19 a.m. turned in a bicycle that was left on the caller’s property. The bicycle was checked through NCIC and was not stolen. The bicycle was logged into safekeeping.
  • An officer was dispatched at 8:56 a.m. to a residence in the 900 block of Bursum for a burglary involving a vehicle. The victim said someone entered his three vehicles. No forced entry was seen, but items and papers were strewn around the cab of the vehicles. The victim said he was missing his wallet, which contained several IDs and bank cards. The victim later provided a list of other items, including headphones, keys and a PSP game that were also taken. At this time there are no suspects.
  • A victim in the 600 block of Lucero reported at 12:20 p.m. that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and stole her purse containing several items. The victim said she heard a young girl’s voice outside during the night but did not get up to see who the person was. At this time, there are no suspects.

Feb. 17

  • A victim reported at 3:43 a.m. that he was jumped by three suspects on leaving his room at Economy Inn. He said he knew the suspects as part of his extended family. The victim did have minor injuries to his hands. The suspects were later contacted, and an adult suspect admitted to one juvenile being in the altercation with the victim. Charges were filed.
  • Officers were called at 6:16 a.m. to Fifth and Neel for male suspects returning after a fight occurred. The officer arrived and saw a vehicle leaving. An officer attempted to contact the occupants of the car, but it drove off and was found at the north end of Fifth Street. The officer witnessed two suspects jump out and run off. A third suspect fell on the ground as he was exiting and was run over by the car. He then stood up and tried to run away, but the officer caught up with him and arrested him. The other two suspects were arrested by assisting officers. The juvenile suspect who was run over by the car was taken to the hospital. The officers questioned the adult suspect, who admitted to taking the car from a home of a friend without permission. The adult suspect also admitted the juvenile suspect was fighting with a male victim. The juveniles were released, and the adult was booked at the SCDC. The owner of the car was contacted and signed a theft declaration.
  • Two victims in the 100 block of Vigil reported at 7 a.m. coming outside to find their vehicles damaged. The vehicles were parked near each other at the same apartment complex. The officer noted a broken windshield on one vehicle and a broken rear window on the other. The officer questioned a male who was brought in on other charges and he stated a juvenile was responsible for the damage. The juvenile had already declined to speak with officers. Charges are pending.
  • An officer was called at 12:55 p.m. to the 500 block of Spring Street in reference to a burglary. The victim stated somebody entered her residence and stole a TV. The officer observed damage to the door that appeared to be from somebody trying to pry the door open. The victim stated she was informed of a male attempting to sell a TV for $20. The officer went to a home in the area where the suspect was attempting to sell the resident a TV. The officer was informed that while the suspect was talking with somebody, he mentioned recently burglarizing a home. The officer attempted to locate the suspect but was unable to, and then learned the suspect was in jail and contacted him for questioning. The suspect was advised of his rights and declined to speak with officers.
