Adoption of Resolution
Approving Lease-Purchase
Arrangement

The Board of Education of the Quemado Independent School District No. 2 (“Board” and “District,” respectively) at a special meeting on August 17, 2021, did meet and adopt a final resolution, approved by a majority of all members of the Board, authorizing a lease-purchase arrangement as contemplated by the Education Technology Equipment Act, NMSA 1978, §§ 6-15A-1 to 6-15A-17 (“Act”). The resolution authorizes the District to (i) enter into a Lease-Purchase Agreement, dated as of September 22, 2021 (“Lease”), with the New Mexico Public Schools Education Technology Assistance Foundation, LLC (“Lessor”) relating to the acquisition of certain education technology equipment for the District, and (ii) to enter into a Trust Indenture, dated as of September 22, 2021, with BOKF, N.A., Albuquerque, New Mexico (“Trustee”) and the Lessor, whereby the Trustee will participate out portions of the Lease by issuing $205,000 Education Technology General Obligation Lease-Purchase Certificate of Participation, Series 2021 (“Certificate”). The Lease and the rental payment thereunder securing the Certificate are payable from general (ad valorem) taxes that will be levied by the District.

Complete copies of the resolution, the Lease and the Indenture are on file and available for inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Superintendent of Schools of the District. This notice is given pursuant to § 6-15A-9 of the Act.
