Competitive sealed bids will be received by the Owner, for IFB No. 090722 for Cuba Road Street and Drainage Improvements – Rebid Project No.: CDBG 20-C-NR-I-01-G-13
Project: The City of Socorro, NM located in Socorro County will construct a street and drainage improvements project on Cuba Road, in a low-to-moderate income area located in the southern part of the City between I-25 to the west and Hope Farms Road to the east (34º 02′ 42″ longitude and 106º 53′ 04″ latitude).

This project will address drainage issues and provide a reliable transportation and drainage network within the project area. Drainage will be diverted to a drainage channel, using the newly paved surface and curb and gutter to transport storm water runoff. The approximate width of the road will be 20′. Drive pads and curb returns will be designed in compliance with the ADA.

Improvements for Cuba Road consist of unclassified excavation, cold milling, sub-grade preparation, base course, approximately 3,420 s.y. of hot mix asphalt and approximately 3920 lf of curb & gutter. Improvements for Markland Road consist of unclassified excavation for a length of approximately 1000 lf to direct drainage from the residents.

Complete sets of the bidding documents may be obtained at the following designated website: https://www.decnm.com/DEC-FileShare. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project.

All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

If paper copies of the Bidding Documents are desired, call 505-281-2880 to request at least 24 hours in advance. Requested paper copies may be obtained at the office of DENNIS ENGINEERING COMPANY, 6020 Indian School NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, upon payment of $400.00 for each set of documents. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Dennis Engineering Company”. Any PLANHOLDER, upon returning the Contract Documents in good condition within ten (10) days following the Bid Opening, will receive a $200.00 refund.

Prospective bidders must attend a Pre-Bid Conference which will be held at City Hall, 111 School of Mines Rd, Socorro, NM 87801 on August 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
This Project is funded in whole or in part by a grant from the state of New Mexico Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program and is subject to requirements of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and the funding agency.
