For 20 years we’ve had the Peace Vigil every Friday on the Plaza (except when we were at home during the pandemic lockdown).
That’s a long time. And the war is over—we’re out of Afghanistan. Why continue?
Our signs say “No More War” and “Support the Troops–Bring Them Home.” We are at war: troops in Africa, in South America, in the mid-East, plus all the weapons America sells so that other countries can fight wars. Our work is not done.
Our group isn’t political. We don’t think there is a Republican or Democrat who wants to send their child off to war. We believe simply, “There is no way to peace; peace is the way.”
Join us at the Plaza every Friday at 4:30 p.m. to help make peace by smiling and waving to others. Hope to see you there.
