The Magdalena Steers won the 1A State Track and Field Championships with 69 points on June 17 at the UNM Track and Field Complex. The Lady Steers placed 17th with four points.

Magdalena’s D’Shaun Vinyard was named high point male in the 1A championships and placed first in the 400 meters, 200 meters and high jump.
