Mary Fedelina Rosas

1945-2022

Mary Fedelina Rosas, 76, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on December 29, 1945 to Seferino and Carolina (Chavez) Gonzales in Socorro, New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Jake of Albuquerque, N.M.; her daughters, Nanette R. Rosas and husband Robert Maldonado of Lenexa, Kansas; Belinda A. Arrambide and husband Brian of Albuquerque; her loving grandchildren, Andrew Maldonado, Johnny Maldonado, Marissa J. Rosas-Maldonado, Sylas C. Arrambide and Cyrianna D. Arrambide; sister Victoria Romero of San Acacia, N.M.; brothers, Transito Gonzales of San Acacia, N.M.; Climaco Gonzales and wife Ernestine of Socorro, N.M.; sister-in-law, Tommie Gonzales of La Junta, Colorado; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary was a homemaker who was devoted to raising her two daughters. She spent her time volunteering at the school and was often the class mother for both Nanette and Belinda. She cared for many of her daughter’s friends while their parents worked. She made homemade tortillas daily and ensured that there was always food on the table. Mary was very devoted to her faith as she spent nearly 40 years as a catechism teacher at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren dearly and attended every soccer, baseball, basketball, softball game, play, etc.  She was a dear friend and loved by all!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Seferino and Carolina Gonzales, in-laws Manuel and Sofia (Saavedra) Rosas; brothers, Nasario Chavez (Augustina); Jenny Pino (Vicente); Patsy Mata (James); brother-in- law, Joe Larry Romero; and uncle and aunt, Pete and Juanita Zamora.

Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home on 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE Albuquerque, N.M. 87109 with a Rosary to follow at 6 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at 811 Guaymas Pl. NE Albuquerque, N.M. 87108. Interment will follow with a procession to the San Acacia Cemetery in San Acacia, N.M. Pallbearers are Robert Maldonado, Brian Arrambide, Andrew Maldonado, Johnny Maldonado, Sylas C. Arrambide and Ray Mondragon III. Honorary Pallbearers are Marissa J. Rosas Maldonado and Cyrianna D.
