Mary Kathryn Brundage

1938-2022

Mary Kathryn Brundage, 83, of Rio Rancho and formerly of Socorro, passed away on June 10, 2022 in Rio Rancho.

Mary was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to Stanley and Kathryn Schroder on October 12, 1938. She went to school and grew up in Pemberville, Ohio.  She married William Brundage on August 25, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green State University and The Ohio State University. She worked as a teacher for many years in Ohio, West Virginia and in Socorro, N.M. at San Miguel School, Zimmerly and Midway. She was very dedicated to all her students and loved sharing knowledge and reading with others. She was very talented at needlework and created many award-winning pieces over the years.  She had a deep love of music and was skilled at multiple instruments including piano, violin, viola da gamba and clarinet.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Kathryn Schroder and her son, Scott Brundage (Yahaira) in 2021.

Mary is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, William (Bill) Brundage of Rio Rancho, daughter Anne Begaye (Ron) of Socorro, sister Patricia Leithe (Ron) of North Carolina, her beloved cat Buster and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
