On Saturday, Nov. 14, at approximately 6:05 p.m., New Mexico State Police investigated a double fatal, single vehicle crash on State Road 169 near milepost 17 north of Magdalena.

The initial investigation shows a 2006 GMC, driven by Arnold Pino, 41, of the Alamo-Navajo reservation was traveling north on Highway 169. For unknown reasons, the GMC left the roadway on a curved portion of the roadway and struck a rock.

The driver, Arnold Pino and the passenger in the GMC, Abie Pino, 28, also of Alamo were both ejected.

Both Arnold and Abie sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Arnold and Abie were both pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator.

Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the crash, and seatbelts appear to not to have been used. No other information is available.
