Chick was born in Socorro, NM on October 30, 1950. He was known as a man who walked tall, a man who never complained, and a man willing to do whatever to help someone in need. He had a kind heart, with a kind sole and never spoke ill of anyone.

He was a true pillar of the community.

Chick retired after 27 years from the City of Socorro, and after a short-lived retirement, he went back to work at the City to help beautify it. One of his proud projects were the trees planted on Airport Road, where the City of Socorro has dedicated a sign in his honor “Chicks Groove”. He enjoyed playing fast pitch, basketball and cards but his passion was golf. When he wasn’t working you could find him on the golf course.

Chick’s humor and kindness will be greatly missed by all.
