The Socorro Warriors and Lady Warriors cross country teams competed in their first meet of the season over the weekend where they ran against runners in 4A and 5A schools in the Cleveland Invite.

In the boys’ race, there were 18 teams and 136 runners. The Warriors placed 18th with 521 points and the El Paso Americans took first with 48 points.

The girls’ race consisted of 99 runners and 13 teams. The Lady Warriors finished with 403 points in 13th place. Los Alamos High School placed first with 39 points.
