Socorro’s Cross Country teams competed at the Fort Stanton Invite over the weekend, coming home with several top-10 finishes and a first place in the girls’ middle school race.

In the girls’ varsity run, Socorro’s Jackie Perez placed 13, with a time of 32:13.09. Sky Sessions took 17 at 32:54.02. Lyzz Moellenbrock took 23 with a time of 36:04:14. The team also included Anna Zagrai, Addisyn Fassett and Abby Watkins.

The girls’ team took fourth overall.

In the girls’ middle school run, Socorro’s Abby Cadol finished first with a time of 12:16.41. The team also had Avery Timmons take 6, with 14.02.06 time, Kathleen Johnson took 7 at 14:20.91. Nikki Plack took 14 at 16:14.81 and Estella Candelaria took 29. Together the Socorro team placed first.

In the boys’ varsity run, Socorro’s Robinson Ford placed 9 with a time of 22:30.56. Luther Richardson placed 17, at 24:18.68. Keller Ford placed 30 at 27:37.75. The team also competed with Daniel Bowles, Rylan Timmons, Andrew Moellenbrock and Vincente Sanchez.

The Socorro boys also took fourth overall.

In the boys’ middle school run, Socorro’s Timur Aitbayer took 27 with a time of 14:45.90, Riley Sewell was 30 at 15:41.97  and Liam Demorest was 34 at 16:29.72.
