There is a never-ending pile of laundry. I have a basket of clean clothes in a laundry basket in front of the dryer and clean clothes in the dryer.

In my bedroom is a laundry basket of work clothes that still need to be washed. I’m hoping that’s where all of my jeans are as I can only find two pairs and I’ve looked through what is in the dryer.

My clean clothes are all of my workout shorts and tank tops, along with comfy t-shirts. Those don’t really do me much good when getting ready for work in the morning.

I used to only have one laundry basket, but then I started walking almost six miles every day. I’m also outside for work a lot. The second laundry basket became one for sweaty clothes so they wouldn’t get mixed in with the non-sweaty work clothes.

Then there is the struggle of doing dishes and not having a dishwasher. For only being one person, the dishes do really stack up quite quickly. I try to stay on top of them, but after a long day or a few long days of working, before I know it they are piled up in the sink.

I’m trying to get better about doing dishes as soon as I’m done with them.

I’ve also realized that it’s incredibly hard to think of something to make for dinner every night. I’ve had more pork and rice than I want to think about because it’s quick and easy to make. It’s also a healthier option instead of making pizza or mac and cheese.

Pizza is very good though and a great comfort food when sitting on the couch and watching The Parent Trap for the thousandth time or another movie or TV show that I’ve seen too much.

I subscribed to a few TV subscription channels – Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Disney + – but for some reason I always go back to what I’ve watched before.

I’m in the middle of rewatching Gossip Girl and lately I’ve been putting it on when I’m trying to fall asleep at night. I’ve been watching Camp Takota a lot because I miss my summer home, Kenmont Kenwood Camps, and it reminds me of my days of being a camp counselor.

A few days ago, I restarted Super Store as I watched up to season three a few years ago and then just stopped watching it for who knows what reason. It’s been a great comedy to fill my time with.

As I’m cleaning my house or doing laundry or the dishes, I’ll put Lucifer on as the second part of season five came out a month ago and I’ve already watched through that a few times.

When I’m sitting on the couch watching TV at night, I’m always thinking about how I could be doing laundry or the dishes, but I enjoy being on the couch much more than doing chores.

Lately, I’ve been pushing chores off until Saturday or Sunday, but by the time the weekend rolls around, I really don’t want to do chores.

There are some Sunday’s where I’m really good. I get up, put a load of laundry in, go grocery shopping and clean the house. Once all that is done, I occasionally head up to Albuquerque to walk the mall or find cute things to accent my house with.

Cooking dinner has been a little more fun lately as I decorated my kitchen with a lot of Disney things. My spatula and wooden spoons have Mickey Mouse on them. I found Mickey and Minnie salt and pepper shakers and my dish towels are a mix of Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh.

It’s the little things that make chores a little more fun like organizing all of my clothing by type and then putting them in color order. All of my comfy t-shirts get organized by sport and then by team.
