According to MaxPreps, Magdalena senior shortstop Kaleb Castanon is the top-ranked hitter in New Mexico high school baseball and ranks eighth nation-wide with a .696 batting average after the Steers swept a doubleheader over the weekend. In 46 at-bats, Castanon has produced 32 hits with eight doubles, four triples and one home run to his credit.
