There will be a scheduled power outage for the city of Socorro and Magdalena members of the Socorro Electric Co-op on Friday, Sept. 16, at 2 a.m. for two hours. Tri-State will work on its Socorro substation, which feeds two of the SEC substations.
-The City of Socorro responded to a utility leak Saturday near Raychester’s. A 6-inch main line on the route to the fairgrounds had a leak. It was resolved that day.
-Socorro’s utility department is still working on installing lights on Bullock Street. Next will be plants and gravel, which are being put in by Sequoia Planting.
-Residents may have noticed water on the road by the bus barn Friday night, but the source wasn’t a water leak. A local farmer overwatered fields.
