It is with a heavy and saddened heart that we announce the passing of a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and grandpa, Narcy Anaya. Narcy was born to Felipe and Maria E.

Anaya on October 20, 1938, in Socorro, NM. Narcy passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the age of 85 in the family home in Socorro where he lived his entire life.

He learned construction work at a very early age and was instrumental in helping to build the family home. Narcy learned traits such as carpentry and worked as a gas station attendant, for the New Mexico State Highway Department, at NM Tech as a line cook, and at Gerard’s Café.

The last days of his life were spent relaxing under his favorite shade tree outside the family home with many of his friends and family members who visited him daily or he would quietly retire to his room to watch his favorite western movies or Judge Judy.
Narcy is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Maria E. Anaya, brothers Paul, Tiny, Louie, Phillip, and Gilbert, sister Lucaria, his sisters-in-law Lena, Yvonne, and Elsie, sister-in-law Belinda, and niece Arleen.

He is survived by his brother Leroy; sisters Annie and Debbie; brothers-in-law Charles and Carlos; sisters-in-law Rosalie, Priscilla, and Frances; sons Julian and Chris; grandson JJ; granddaughters Stephanie and Lala; great-grand daughters Khalea and Armani; nieces and nephews Paul, Val, Sefie, Manuel, Eslinda, Carlina, Henry, Carlos, Lisa, Catherine, Joey, Kristina, Renee, Richard, Cassandra, JR, Anna and Jacob; as well as many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Last but not least, he is survived by his many friends and relatives.

Rosary & Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at San Miguel Church with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow immediately at Old San Miguel Cemetery
