Paul Francis Wynn Sr., age 85, passed away after a brief illness, Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. Born in Little Pine, Crow Wing County, MN.

Paul had 11 siblings, one being his twin sister, Pauline. He worked hard on the family farm and served in the USAF from 1958-1962, working Operations Teak & Orange in the Bikini Atoll/Johnston Islands as a 2nd Class Airman monitoring weather balloon data. He was designated as an Atomic Veteran. After his service, he worked for AVCO and then AT&T Communications in Dayton, Ohio.

A true country boy, Paul transferred to the AT&T underground facility in Socorro, NM. He purchased 28 acres in nearby, Polvadera, NM where he was blessed to raise his family of five with his wife of 63 years, Vickie A. Martinez Wynn. Paul loved baseball and was a terrific umpire. He loved to fish, hunt, farm and ranch. After retirement, Paul enjoyed working with his sons in the recycling business. One of his favorite pastimes was getting a good deal at an auction and the banter with his fellow competitor’s. He was quite the jokester and was known for his big smile, laugh and generosity. Paul could tell endless humorous stories.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gailand B. & Viola F. Wynn. His brothers, Vernon L. Wynn and Roy A. Wynn; sisters, Elsie M. James and Edna May Lindahl.

Paul is survived by his wife, Victoria “Vickie” A. Wynn; Children, Paul F. Jr.(Pammela)Wynn; Elizabeth A. Wynn; Sheila L.(Ricky)Ramirez; Mary G.(Scott) Hunter, Mark J.(Noel) Wynn; Grandchildren, Wayne G. Chapin, Sheleise A.(Shane) Sentz, Keaton(Ashley) Wynn, Morgan S. Wynn, Callie L.(Hayden) Snyder, Victoria T.(Lindsey) Gilbert, Felipe P. Ramirez, Christopher A.M.(Devon)Ramirez, Abigail B., Tabitha F., Samuel F., Jonathan B. Hunter; Great grandchildren, Christian W.S. and Peyton L. Chapin, James P. Gilbert and Malakai A. Ramirez: His beloved seven siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by us all. He revered the Lord and we are certain he’s rejoicing in heaven.

Honorary Pallbearers are his Grandsons Wayne Chapin, Keaton Wynn, Felipe Ramirez, Christopher Ramirez, Samuel Hunter and Jonathan Hunter.

Services for Paul will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Rosary at 6pm Thursday, February 1, 2024. Funeral Vigil Mass 10am Friday, February 2, 2024.
