Valentin “Tin” Saavedra

On January 24, 2022 our dear Lord called another angel home, Valentin “Tin” Saavedra, 85. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rafaelita and stepfather, Alfonso Ware and his father, Jose Saavedra. Also, his sons William Saavedra and Leroy Saavedra and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Ganadonegro Saavedra.  He is survived by his lovely wife, Cecelia Saavedra, married for 59 years.

He leaves behind his son, Valentin Saavedra, Jr.  Daughters, Angela Saavedra, partner Manuel Gomez, Luciana Gonzales and husband Mario Gonzalez, Irene Castillo and partner Eddie Herbert, Sadie Stidstone and partner Estevan Arteaga.

Survived by four brothers and five sisters. Preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and five godchildren.  Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

Our husband, father, grandfather will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

His services will be held Friday, February 4, 2022. Visitation from 10:30 – 11 a.m. and services immediately after visitation. Services will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home in Socorro.
