Andrea L. Huebner

Andrea L. Huebner, 80 years young, entered this world on January 24, 1942 and was called by our heavenly father on May 27, 2022. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and aunt. She was bright, beautiful, bold and feisty, even through her final days here on earth.

Andrea is survived by her daughter Karen J Huebner and partner Rhea Kiddy, brothers Cruz Ornelas and Isidro Ornelas and wife Marian, brother-in-law Raymond Gonzales, sister-in-law Veronica Ornelas and lots of nieces and nephews and dear friends, Sonny and Hope Rivera, all who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Octaviano and Lupe Ornelas, sister Katie O Gonzales, and brother Richardo (Dickie) Ornelas.

Andrea loved life, travel, her dogs, Mexican food and sports. Andrea grew up on a farm in Luis Lopez, New Mexico with her family. She moved to Albuquerque and in 1970 received her barber/hairstylist license.

She also worked for Sebring International and eventually owned her own salon: “The Hair Co.”  Andrea later received her BA, then went to work for Townsend Textron as a sales rep., becoming one of the company’s top sales reps.

Her career had her traveling much of her life, which she loved. She finally returned to New Mexico around 2003 and became a substitute high school teacher until she retired. Rest in peace dear one; you will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved you.

Graveside service for Andrea will be Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m., Pajarito Cemetery on the corner of Pajarito Rd. and Coors Blvd. SW. Celebration of life will follow at 6080 Isleta Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
