Jeremias Nicanor Rivera, 77, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home in La Laborcita, NM. Jeremias was born on March 26, 1946 in Socorro, NM to Valentin B. and Maria (Gonzales) Rivera.

He began his career as a Laborer for the Bureau of Reclamation in Socorro, later retiring as the Facility Manager after 37 years of dedicated service. Jeremias was a loyal, intelligent, and hard working, member of this community, that he so dearly loved and was proud to call home.

He is survived by his dedicated wife of 50 years, Maryline (Ortega) Rivera; his son, Jeremia C. Rivera; daughter Laura (Rivera) Madril; and granddaughters, Mileva and Mireya Madril; his brothers, Valentino R.

Rivera (Helen), Walter Rivera (Shirley), Eddie Rivera (Rose), John Rivera (Joanne), and sisters; Judi Green, Susie DuBord (Joe), Pauline Binger (Everett).
He is preceded in death by his sister Salome Rivera.
Graveside funeral services will be held on April 6, 2024 at the Socorro Cemetery in Socorro, NM.
