REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The County of Socorro, State of New Mexico, on behalf of the Socorro County Board of County Commissioners, seeks sealed proposals from experienced and capable offerors, who can plan, design and fully execute a complete and comprehensive program for the collection, management and disposal of all residential solid waste generated within the unincorporated areas of Socorro County, New Mexico. Such program and all associated activities performed by the Contractor must conform to all current federal, state and local ordinances, laws, statutes and rules.

Proposals received must take into consideration, to the highest practicable degree, all aspects of the entire residential solid waste stream generated within the unincorporated areas of Socorro County, including, but not limited to, the disposal and/or recycling, reuse and/or repurposing of said waste stream. Proposals should also endeavor to take over Socorro County’s commercial roll-off operation.

A pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday, June 7th, 2021 at 11:00 am MST at the Socorro County Annex Building, 198 Neel Ave, Socorro, NM. Information on how to attend this conference via conference call will be posted via www.bidnetdirect.com. This meeting is optional and is being held to discuss the project in detail with interested parties.

All proposals must be clearly marked “RFP No. 2021-04-600” on the lower left corner of the envelope. Any proposal not clearly marked “RFP No. 2021-04-600” will be disqualified. Offeror proposals must be received for review and evaluation by the procurement manager and the evaluation committee no later than 2:00 pm MST on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021 at the Socorro County Manager’s Office, 210 Park Street, Socorro, NM 87801.
