The grand opening of Los Victors’ Mexican fast-food restaurant didn’t go unnoticed on the corner of California and Bullock last Friday.

Victor Bustos’ family restaurant, drew in lines of cars and customers with live music, a bounce house, a bucking bull ride for the kids and fresh Mexican food.

“We’ve had a lot of people come in today,” Bustos said on Friday. “I don’t have words for how grateful I am for the people of Socorro and the incredible turn out.”

Bustos said their style is California Mexican fast food. They offer a variety of tacos, tortas, chimichangas, tostadas, breakfast options and burritos including their popular, 15-inch carne asada burritos.

Bustos said they are committed to offering fast, delicious, homemade food.
“We make everything fresh. Our flour tortillas are made by hand and made when you order,” Bustos said.

This is the 16th location of Los Victors Mexican Food, other locations in New Mexico include Silver City, Deming, Albuquerque, Lordsburg, Alamogordo, Española, Las Cruces and Clovis. Bustos said the ultimate dream is to have 100 locations in total all over the United States.

“We’ve been received very well at all of our restaurants, and we hope to establish ourselves here too,” Bustos said.

He said Socorro was recommended to them as a nice community and they were able to find their location on California Street in the old Little Cesars building.

With the overwhelming amount of business, they’ve had so far, he is asking the community for a little bit of patience as they get everything in order and organized with their new crew.

Right now, he plans on being open from 6 a.m. to midnight with the goal of being open 24 hours soon. For more information and to see the menu please go to: www.losvictorsmexicanfood.com
