As of Monday, there have been a total of 4,026 COVID-19 cases reported in Socorro County since the pandemic began.

The latest data released by the Center for Disease Control showed that the number of new

COVID-19 cases in Socorro County for the seven-day period ending June 26 was 21.

There were three new hospital admissions reported in Socorro County in the seven-day period and no new deaths.

In Socorro County, 91 people have died from the novel coronavirus.

There were 298 tests conducted in the county over the seven-day period. Socorro County’s positivity rate stood at 13.2 percent on June 26.

According to the CDC website, 11,565 people in Socorro County are fully vaccinated, which is 69.5 percent of the county’s population. 52.5 percent have received at least one booster.

In the 65-and-older age group, 84.4 percent have completed the two-dose series, and 71.1 percent have received at least one booster.

Statewide, 82 percent of New Mexicans 18-and-over have completed the initial two-dose series.

The seven-day positivity rate statewide is 15-19.9 percent.

New Mexico’s death toll since the pandemic began has reached 7,911.

Current hospitalizations statewide total 190, with 18 on ventilators.

The latest 7-day metric shows 2,683 new cases statewide with 84 new hospitalizations and six deaths.
