The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office announced Friday a rehabilitation project for a stretch of Interstate 25. Starting Monday, August 28, Interstate 25 between exit 150 at Socorro and mile marker 161 will be worked on.

DOT says drivers should expect lane closures during the day on both north and southbound lanes. The project is expected to last about 180 days depending on the weather.

Lane closures will be in effect Mondays through Fridays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

$11.1 million was awarded to the project.
