Notice is hereby given that the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer/Interstate Stream Commission, is hosting a series of community listening and application technical assistance sessions to increase understanding and the opportunity for participation in the Lower Rio Grande Basin Groundwater Conservation Program during September of 2023.

The application period is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 25th, 2023. Grants will be available to conserve groundwater for a 2-year period starting January 1st, 2024. Applicants enrolled in the Program will be paid $1500/acre during the 2-year period.

Lower Rio Grande Basin Groundwater Conservation Program Listening Sessions will be held:
• September 8, 9-11am, Dona Ana Community College, Gadsen Campus, 1700 Ohara Rd., Anthony, NM
• September 8, 2:30-4:30pm, Village of Hatch Community Center, 837 Hwy 187, Hatch, NM
• September 9, 2-4pm, NMSU, Corbett Center Student Union, 3rd Floor, Suite 317, Las Cruces, NM
