New Mexico Tech along with the City of Socorro threw their annual Fourth of July Celebration on Sunday.

This year, it was held at the Socorro Rodeo and Sports Complex instead of the Tech campus. The event started at 1 p.m. and included a water slide and a bounce house for children, bands playing throughout the day, vendors and food trucks/

There was a line for the water slide for the duration of the event, as kids would get off the slide and then jump right back in line. At 9 p.m., EMRTC started their firework show, which lasted roughly 30 minutes.
