Wanda Martin

Wanda passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday April 3, 2021. She was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Florence and Frank Martin and spent her early years on the Martin ranch in the Jornada del Muerto. She attended school in Socorro and St. Mary’s Academy in Silver City.
Wanda loved to spend summers in Las Vegas, New Mexico, with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She especially enjoyed riding her horse Minnie and spending time on the road with her parents and brother while her Dad entered steer roping contests and rodeos throughout the West.
In 1971, Wanda joined her parents at Martin Auto Supply where she became an auto parts expert extraordinaire. She was a voracious reader and was often seen driving around town with her Samoyeds.
Wanda was a kind and gentle person with a loving heart and pure soul. She had an amazing recall of names, places, events, and birthdays, and loved roses and the color yellow.
Wanda is survived by her loving brother James Martin and his wife Cathy, cousin Daniel Schwede, her nieces and their husbands, Jennifer and Audoro Espinoza, Sara and Ali Yazdian, and their children Samantha Schnell, Ava Yazdian and Andre Yazdian.
There will be no services held for Wanda.
