Angel Perez pounded an in-the-park solo home run to spot Socorro a 1-0 lead, but Hatch Valley rallied for a 13-12 win behind Alan Ruiz’s five-hitter on May 1.

David Gutierrez Jr., Cenyon Scarborough, Perez, Jacob Angel, and Joseph Rivera each pounded one hit for the Warriors.

Scarborough started and scattered four hits over four innings. Four errors proved costly for Socorro.

The Warriors wrap up the 2024 season at 5-17, and the young team is still learning how to win. A couple of positives included Socorro winning four of five games in late March and early April. The Warriors also won a district game, something that didn’t happen last year.
