Photo submitted: Guerro family home burned down on Saturday

Socorro County is requesting help from the community for Manuel Guerro, recently recognized as their employee of the year, who lost his house in a fire last weekend.
In an email the county shared that Guerro, Road Operator III, lost his house and the family lost all their belongings during a house Saturday. The county is hopeful that county employees and the community can come to his aid as he had no insurance on his house or its contents.

Manuel and his family of five are in need clothing and any other items that can be useful during this time of need. Manuel wears size large shirts and 36Wx 30L pants, his wife is size 10 and his three girls are ages seven, four, and nine months old.
The county is also accepting monetary donations on his behalf. Any donations can be made at the county managers office at 210 Park St. Socorro.
