LEGAL NOTICE

On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 9:00 A.M., in a regular meeting at the Socorro County Annex Building, 198 Neel, Socorro, NM, the Board of County Commissioners of Socorro County will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of adopting a Subdivision Claim of Exemption Ordinance, No. 2022-03. The Board of Commissioners may vote on the Ordinance during the meeting directly following the public hearing. The purpose of the Subdivision Claim of Exemption Ordinance is to provide for a process whereby Socorro County landowners obtain a determination from Socorro County concerning whether a proposed division of land within Socorro County is not a subdivision pursuant to the Land Subdivision Regulations of Socorro County, New Mexico, as the same may be amended from time to time. The Ordinance also provides penalties for failure to comply with this ordinance. This Ordinance updates the current claim of exemption ordinance to bring it into compliance with changes in State law, thus it will also repeal and replace the current Claim of Exemption Ordinance No. 2007-02.
