With a heavy heart, we announce our beloved mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend. Yvonne Anaya passed away on November 11, 2023, peacefully at her home in Socorro.

Yvonne will be remembered for not only making the best donuts, cakes and pastries working at SuperMart for over 30 years, but also for being a kind, generous person that so many in the community can attest to. She was never too busy to stop and talk to family, friends and strangers. Her door was always open.

Yvonne was a devout Catholic. She looked forward to gathering with friends for her weekly rosaries. She had a special devotion to pray for those with cancer, especially children. Every Memorial Day, she would make centerpieces and flowers for the children’s section at the cemetery.

Yvonne was preceded in death by husband, Valentin “Tiny” Anaya; her parents, Ruperto Gallegos and Sylvia Cordova; brothers Demacio Gallegos, Adelino Gallegos, Leroy Gallegos and sister Lena Sanchez.

She is survived by her sons Valentin and wife Gloria Anaya; Sefie and wife Talitha Anaya; Manuel and wife Magdalene Anaya; and her daughter, Eslinda Anaya. Her soul sister Prudencia “Prudy” Maestas. Her grandchildren Julia Anaya, Bubba Anaya and wife, Cheyenne Anaya, Isaiah Anaya, Elena Anaya, Gogo Anaya, Gabriella Ramos, Tivonne Anaya, Michael Anaya and Jenna OIney. Her great grandchildren Aaliyah, Julian, Angel, Alexyana, Xavier, Aleeah and Amyah.

She will be remembered by her inlaws, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Services will be held at San Miguel Parish in Socorro on Friday, November 17, 2023.
Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and mass will be at 10 a.m. with burial immediately following at San Miguel Cemetery.
