It’s spring and again our beloved pets turn to thoughts of love. And as cute as a new kitten or puppy can be, unfortunately, the majority of these sweethearts never find forever homes and end up in overcrowded animal shelters and worse.

Here at the Socorro Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, the staff does a wonderful job of trying to get every animal a new home, but are still overwhelmed by the volume that comes through their doors. One of the best solutions to this pet over- population problem is to get your cat or dog spayed or neutered, and the Animal Protective Association of Socorro (APAS) is here to help with the cost!

If you want to have your animal “fixed,” but can’t quite afford the cost, please contact Connie at (575) 835-1430. We’re here to help.

Let’s all work together to make sure every cat and dog has a loving home.
