“Our dad hasn’t been seen since Thursday or Friday of last week. We are all very worried about him. I don’t know how to express how worried we are about him. We’re in shock. He’s never done this before. He checks in with us frequently and returns calls. He has dementia and is legally blind. I just need to know where he is so I can come and get him. Please if anyone has seen him, I would love to move him to Washington with me. Any tips are helpful, even if you’re not sure, we appreciate any help you can give. He spoke very highly of everyone In Magdalena. It was his home. He had traced our ancestry back to the area and believed it to be home. You all made him feel like he was home and loved.”
“We are calling on the community to help us find Mr. Montoy. Search and Rescue is now here and welcomes all information that you have about him. Help us reconstruct his walking routes. Tell us where you have seen him in the past. Tell us if you have seen him since Thursday of last week (Oct 19). Please let us know if you would like help searching your property. Outbuildings and vacant homes are places where he might have sought refuge. Anything you know about his habits would interest us. Any ideas to help us find him are also welcome.” Wrote Magdalena Marshal Michael Zamora in a post on the local email group.
