Robert Lucero

1957-2022

Robert Lee Lucero went home to meet the Lord on September 23, 2022 with his loving wife of 43 years at his bedside. Robert was born to Alberto and Ramona Lucero on August 28, 1957.

Robert worked at the VLA and owned two tire shops until they closed down. Robert loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and going on short road trips with his wife Mary Ann. Robert greeted everyone he met with a smile. He was loved and will be dearly missed by the community of Datil and his faithful furbabies, a.k.a. his dogs.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Ramona Lucero, his father and mother-in-law Tomas and Eufrasia Torres.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Mary Ann Lucero, his sisters Helen (Richard) Rivera, Sandy (George) Osterman, brother Ernesto Romero, brothers and sisters-in-law, many uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A viewing and rosary were held on Monday Oct. 3 at 11:30 a.m. at Daniel’s Funeral Home. Rosary and burial mass were on Tuesday Oct. 4 at the San Miguel Church and followed by the burial at the Horse Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mary Ann Lucero, Tomas Torres Jr, Ernesto Romero, Christina Romero, Travis Leyba, Larry Koble.
