To the Editor:
What a great article on Chuck Zimmerly! Well written by Russell Huffman, the Chieftain’s prolific photojournalist; and a well-deserved honor for Zimmerly, who combined his love for both education and sports to carve out a legacy. He is among the reigning deans for both athletics and academics in the virtual Socorro High School hall of fame. (Another is Dennis “Doc” Stanley – but if I start naming names, you know what happens. Been there, done that.)
While in the neighborhood, kudos to Gwen Roath for reviving her “Gwen and Bear It” column. Love seeing her byline in the Chieftain.
